Dayton Woman Arrested in Chambers County for Harris County Homicide

Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne reports that a Dayton woman, Sheila Virginia Martinez, 23, was arrested yesterday in connection with a homicide out of Harris County.

On Monday, May 19, 2025, at approximately 3:00 PM, Chambers County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU) deputies assisted the Houston Police Department’s Crime Suppression Teams in locating and apprehending Martinez. She was taken into custody without incident during a traffic stop on FM 565, just north of I-10.

Martinez was subsequently released to the Houston Police Department and booked into the Harris County Jail, where her bond was set at $500,000. Her court appearance is scheduled for July 1st.
