Dallas Police Make Arrest in Steppington Dr Homicide
On Sunday, April 23, 2023, at approximately 1:28 a.m., Dallas Police Officers responded to a shooting call in the 10000 block of Steppington Dr. The preliminary investigation determined that when officers arrived, they located two male shooting victims. One of the victims, a 22-year-old male, was dead from his injuries. The second 22-year-old male victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
During the investigation, detectives were able to identify the arrestee, 22-year-old Taven McGee, as being the shooter. The suspect was located nearby and arrested.
The investigation is ongoing and will be documented on case number 068521-2023.
