Dallas Police Investigating Shooting Death At Gooch Street
On May 23, 2023, at approximately 9:50 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2700 block of Gooch Street. When officers arrived, they found the victim, 30-year-old Jorge Antonio Pichardo Ortega, laying on the ground shot. The preliminary investigation determined the victim and the unknown suspect were talking, it escalated and the suspect shot the victim. The suspect left the location. Dallas Fire Rescue responded, and the victim died from his injuries.
This remains an ongoing investigation that will be documented on case number 094922-2023.
