CYPRESS, Texas — A Cypress man was arrested after authorities say he became aggressive and charged toward deputies responding to a disturbance call.

According to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office, deputies were dispatched on June 17, 2026, to the 14900 block of Cascade Bend Lane in reference to a disturbance.

Upon arrival, deputies encountered a male who was allegedly yelling profanities at responding officers.

While deputies attempted to speak with the other individual involved in the disturbance, the man reportedly became increasingly hostile. Investigators said he balled his fists and charged toward deputies.

As deputies attempted to detain him, the suspect allegedly physically resisted and repeatedly stated that he intended to fight officers.

Following a brief struggle, deputies were able to safely take the man into custody without further incident.

The suspect was identified as 45-year-old Michael Williams.

Williams was transported to the Harris County Jail and charged with Interference with Public Duties.

Court records show his bond was set at $100 by County Court 5.

Constable Mark Herman praised the actions of the responding deputies and emphasized that law enforcement officers should be able to perform their duties without facing threats or aggression.

The incident remains under review as part of standard procedures.
