Colombian Suspects Arrested After ,000 Worth of Stolen Property Recovered in The Woodlands

On December 6, 2024, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 6 Patrol Division responded to a theft report on Market Street in The Woodlands. Deputies were provided with descriptions of the suspects and their vehicle, but initially could not locate them.

On December 9, 2024, the Montgomery County Crime Reduction Unit located the suspects and recovered stolen items valued at approximately $42,000. The stolen goods are believed to have been taken from retail centers in Montgomery and Harris counties.

The suspects were identified as 48-year-old Vladimir Vanegas-Bolanos and 41-year-old Luz Johanna Usuga-Garcia, both from Colombia. They were arrested and charged with Felony Theft. Bolanos and Garcia are currently being held at the Montgomery County Jail.
