Car-Pedestrian Collision Leaves 59-year-old Man with Life-Threatening Injuries

On January 2, 2024, around 6:15 pm, a car-pedestrian collision transpired near the intersection of University and Grandview in Odessa.

According to the investigation, a blue Ford F-250 was heading north in the left turn lane of the 2600 block of North Grandview when it collided with a pedestrian standing in the roadway.

The pedestrian, identified as 59-year-old Kevin Gandy, was transported to Medical Center Hospital and subsequently air-lifted to Lubbock due to life-threatening injuries.

As of now, there are no reports of additional injuries, and the investigation is ongoing.
