Body of Missing Teen Found in LNVA Canal in Beaumont

The Beaumont Police Department has reported a grim discovery in the Lower Neches Valley Authority (LNVA) canal on Friday, December 8, 2023. The body found has been identified as Donovan Michael Hall, a 16-year-old who had recently been reported as a runaway.

Preliminary findings from the ongoing investigation point to drowning as the cause of Hall’s death. However, authorities are awaiting final autopsy reports, which will include toxicology results, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the circumstances.

Hall had last been seen at approximately 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, in the vicinity of Hwy 105 and Alpine Circle in Beaumont. The police had been actively searching for him since his disappearance.
