Beaumont Man Shot and Killed at Honey’s Drive-In Gas Station; Hazmat Situation Contained

In the early hours of Sunday, October 13, 2024, at approximately 3:21 a.m., Beaumont Police officers responded to a call at Honey’s Drive-In Gas Station, located at 3111 Concord Rd, regarding a possible shooting or auto-pedestrian crash. Upon arrival, officers discovered 24-year-old Gregory Carrington of Beaumont lying in the parking lot with gunshot wounds.

Officers immediately provided medical aid until EMS arrived, but Carrington was pronounced dead at the scene.

In addition to the shooting, a 55-gallon barrel containing gasoline was struck during the incident, causing a hazardous spill in the parking lot and onto Delaware Street. Beaumont Fire Department responded, shutting down Delaware to clean up the spill and manage the situation.

Officers worked to control a large crowd, identify witnesses, and gather information about potential suspects and other victims. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Beaumont Police Department at 409-832-1234.
