Autopsy Pending for Female Found Dead on Beaumont Highway

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results after the discovery of a deceased female at 10000 Beaumont Highway around 10 a.m. on Tuesday (February 27).

The identity and cause of death of the female are awaiting verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD patrol officers were alerted to the situation following a report of a person down at the specified address. Upon arrival, they were informed by a passerby that an unresponsive female was found in a ditch near the roadway. Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived on scene and confirmed the female was deceased.

The investigation is currently pending the determination of the female’s manner and cause of death, which will be established through an autopsy.
