Authorities Need Help Identifying Vehicle and Driver in Fatal Hit-and-Run that Killed Bicyclist

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle and driver involved in a failure to stop and render aid crash that resulted in the victim’s death.

On Sunday, October 15, 2023, at approximately 11 p.m., Dwayne Joseph Brinac, 58, was riding his bicycle northbound in the 12800 block of Crosby Lynchburg Rd. in West Harris County. When a dark-colored 2011-2015 Chrysler Town and Country van was traveling northbound, it struck the victim from the rear.

The vehicle then fled the scene of the crash without stopping and rendering aid to the victim. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and died at the scene as a result of those injuries.
