Austin Police Still Searching for Red Chevrolet Avalanche in Hit-and-Run Crash that Injured Bicyclist

Austin Police Department (APD) officers, along with Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services and the Austin Fire Department, responded to the scene of a failure to stop and render aid crash on October 7th, 2023, at 9:30 p.m. The crash happened in the 1800 block of Springdale Road, just south of East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

A preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a Red Chevrolet Avalanche pickup like the one pictured below struck a bicyclist and left the scene without rendering aid. Due to the crash, the bicyclist had severe bodily injuries.
