Austin Police Seeks Help Identifying Suspects That Assaulted an Officer in October 2023

The Austin Police Department (APD) Aggravated Assault Unit is seeking the public’s assistance regarding an Aggravated Assault on an APD Officer in the 6400 block of Chimney Creek Circle.

On Saturday, October 14, 2023, at approximately 4:37 a.m., two suspects in a sedan, whose photos and description are included in this release, failed to stop and yield to APD Officers during a traffic stop. They turned into the 6400 block of Chimney Creek Circle, a cul-de-sac, before conducting a U-turn and accelerating towards the Officers and the marked patrol car. The driver of the car hit one of the Officers as he left the area.

Suspect #1 (Driver) is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 18 to 25 years of age, with black hair in a bowl cut style, no facial hair, and a tan complexion.

Suspect #2 (Passenger) is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 18 to 25 years of age, with black hair featuring a dyed blonde middle parting, light complexion, and heavy set.

The suspect vehicle is possibly silver or grey, a newer model, and possibly a Lexus sedan.
