Austin Police Seek Public Assistance in Identifying Gamestop Robbery Suspect
The Austin Police Department Robbery Unit is reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a recent Robbery by Assault at the Gamestop located at 9300 S IH 35. The incident took place on Monday, December 4, 2023, around 10:34 a.m.
According to authorities, the suspect entered the Gamestop with the intention of stealing merchandise. When confronted by a store clerk, the suspect physically attacked the employee, causing injuries.
The suspect is described as a white male between 20 to 30 years of age, standing at 5’ 8” and weighing approximately 150 lbs. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light blue, short-sleeve collared shirt and had a bandana on his head.
Law enforcement is urging anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to contact the APD’s Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
