Austin Man Arrested for Murder of Ex-Girlfriend

AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police have arrested a man in connection with the fatal attack of his ex-girlfriend, marking the city’s 46th homicide of 2025.

Officers responded on October 5, around 11:53 a.m., to a residence at 4406 Avenue A #3, where they found 28-year-old Nitza Debiase deceased in her bedroom. Investigators determined that Debiase had been physically attacked and strangled by her ex-boyfriend, 26-year-old Paul Lester Allen, who then fled the scene.

Allen was located and arrested on October 9 with assistance from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, Pflugerville Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and APD Tactical Intelligence and Air Units. He has been charged with first-degree murder, with bond set at $500,000.
