Attempted Robbery Leads to Arrests, Drug and Gun Seizure in Bellaire

Two individuals were arrested early Tuesday morning, June 10, 2025, following an attempted aggravated robbery where a victim was threatened with a gun while walking to work. A swift response by Bellaire police officers led to the suspects’ apprehension and the recovery of a loaded firearm, drugs, and other suspicious items.
At approximately 3:41 a.m., officers were dispatched to the attempted robbery. The victim reported that two males approached him and pointed a gun. Fearing for his safety, he ran to a nearby Bellaire business, whose employees provided him refuge.
The victim was able to give a detailed description of the suspects’ vehicle. Responding officers quickly located the vehicle, which was displaying a fictitious paper license plate, and took both suspects into custody.
Inside the vehicle, officers recovered a loaded .45 caliber handgun, additional ammunition, marijuana, cocaine, ski masks, multiple cell phones, and a fictitious Social Security card.
Snyder Flores-Medina has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Josue Barrientos was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The Bellaire Police Department commended its patrol officers for their swift response and thorough investigation, and thanked the local businesses for assisting citizens in need.
