Assault Incident Leaves One in Critical Condition in Seguin

On September 9, 2023 Seguin Police Department responded to an assault in progress on the 1100 block of Clark St. The caller advised that her son had been stabbed.

Upon arrival, officers found Terry Simmons Jr (26, Seguin) inside the residence with multiple injuries consistent with stab wounds. Witnesses advised that Terry and his brother, Trey-Vel Simmons (22, Seguin), got into an argument that further escalated to a physical altercation. Trey-Vel was taken into custody without incident.

Terry Simmons Jr. was transported to a San Antonio hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Officers transported Trey-Vel Simmons to Guadalupe County Jail, where he was booked for Aggravate Assault- Family Violence with Weapon/Serious Bodily Injury.

The suspect and victim are brothers.

This case remains under investigation.
