Arrest Made in Fatal Shooting of Woman at Missouri City Residence

Houston Police have made an arrest in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman on November 10.

Christopher Lee Levels, 40, has been charged with murder by the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office.

The victim, identified as Jameka Williams, 38, was found unresponsive in the bedroom of a residence at 8511 Bird Run Drive in Missouri City, Texas, when HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting around 7 p.m. Ms. Williams had suffered at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

During the preliminary investigation, witness statements indicated that a black male suspect fled the scene in a white Nissan Altima. Subsequent investigation identified the suspect as Christopher Lee Levels. He turned himself in on Thursday, November 16, and has since been taken into custody.
