Arrest Made in Domestic Dispute Shooting at Ricky Street
Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a woman at 5703 Ricky Street about 5:50 a.m. on Monday (May 15).
The suspect, Dexter Bruce Davidson, 57, is charged with aggravated assault of a family member, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and felon in possession of a weapon in the 262nd State District Court. A booking photo of Davidson, who is hospitalized, is not available at this time.
The victim, 57, was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults and Family Violence Division Detective C. Grahmann reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the parking lot of a business at the above address. They found the victim and Davidson suffering from gunshot wounds.
They learned the suspect followed his ex-partner (the victim) to her place of work, shot her and fired several shots at a male, 48. The male returned fire and the victim also fired a shot at the suspect, who was struck. The male was not injured. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim and the suspect to the hospital in stable condition.
Detectives consulted the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, and the suspect was subsequently charged for his role in the shooting. He remains hospitalized at this time.
