Arrest Made in Deadly Robbery-Shooting at West Dyna Drive Taco Truck

Houston police have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man at a taco truck located at 119 West Dyna Drive around 10:45 p.m. on December 4.

The suspect, Angel Adonis Saldivar-James, 24, is charged with murder. The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Yaddua Barraza Hernandez.

Officers responded to a shooting call and found Barraza Hernandez unresponsive with a gunshot wound. His family had found him. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigators learned that two men approached the business shortly before the shooting. One suspect opened fire into the business while the second suspect took money. Both men ran from the location.

Detectives later identified Saldivar-James as the shooter. He was arrested on Monday, December 8, and formally charged in the case. The investigation into the second suspect remains ongoing.
