Armed Robbery at Brownsville Stripes Store Prompts Police Search for Suspect

In a recent incident on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at around 10:45 pm, an unidentified male entered the Stripes convenience store situated at the 2000 block of E. 14th Street. The individual signaled to the clerk, implying possession of a handgun, and issued a threat to reveal the weapon unless money from the cash register was handed over.

The suspect is described as approximately 5’7” in height, with a dark complexion and speaking Spanish. During the incident, he was observed wearing a white bandana or face mask, a black hoodie, black sweatpants with white stripes on the sides, and black shoes featuring a white logo. The suspect’s current whereabouts are unknown. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the local police department.
