Mother, Elderly Man Arrested in Child Sex-for-Money Scheme in Odessa
The Odessa Police Department has arrested 34-year-old Heather Nicole Russell and 72-year-old Ronnie “Ron” Clinton Inge in connection with an ongoing child exploitation investigation.
On February 26, 2024, the Odessa Police Department initiated an investigation after Ron Inge reported that Heather Russell was “extorting” him for money. Inge stated that he and Russell had been acquainted for some time and that Russell had already taken over $4,000 from him.
Further investigation revealed that Inge and Russell had an agreement in which Russell’s juvenile daughter would engage in sexual conduct with Inge in exchange for money. After the agreement, Russell allegedly used it to extort money from Inge.
Both Inge and Russell were arrested without incident.
- Ron Inge was arrested on a warrant for Child Grooming, a 3rd Degree Felony.
- Heather Russell was arrested on a warrant for Attempted Promotion of Prostitution, a 2nd Degree Felony.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.
