Elderly Woman Found Dead in Westchase Area Apartment, Police Waiting on Autopsy

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a 71-year-old woman found at 11805 Meadowglen Lane in the Westchase area (the Camden Royal Oaks Senior Living Apartments) on Saturday, January 25, around 11 a.m. The identity of the woman is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD patrol officers responded to a call from a family member who reported a person down at the apartment complex. Upon arrival, Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the woman deceased at the scene.

Officers observed that pieces of clothing were missing from the woman’s body, and multiple spots of blood were visible throughout the apartment. At this time, the cause of death remains undetermined, pending an autopsy.
