Wanted Fugitive Arrested at Kingwood Motel After Barricade Attempt

On January 29, 2025, deputies with Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Special Operations and Canine Unit located and arrested 36-year-old Ivan Sotelo, who was wanted for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of Sorters McClellan Road in Kingwood, where Sotelo was found in a motel room. He attempted to barricade himself inside but was quickly taken into custody.

“Ivan Sotelo was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for his felony warrant and additional charges of Interference with Public Duties,” Constable Mark Herman’s Office stated. “His bond for the new charge was set at $100.00 out of County Court 13.”
