Two Suspects Arrested in Double Homicide on Buffalo Speedway

Houston police have arrested Noble Lawrence, 39, and Desundre Whitfield, 33, in connection with the fatal shooting of Robert Boyd, 47, and Darryl Lewis, 27, whose bodies were found at 12100 Buffalo Speedway on October 8, 2023.

Details of the Case

Houston patrol officers responded around 10:15 a.m. to reports of two unresponsive males on the side of the road. Both victims had sustained gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

Investigators determined that Boyd and Lewis were abducted earlier that day from the 12500 block of Ashford Meadow Drive. They were subsequently shot and left on the Buffalo Speedway connector road.

Arrests and Charges

Desundre Whitfield was initially arrested on June 26, 2024, and charged with aggravated kidnapping. On November 20, additional charges of capital murder were filed against him.

Noble Lawrence was apprehended on November 19 by the South Gessner Patrol Tactical Team. He has been charged with capital murder.

Whitfield faces capital murder and two counts of aggravated kidnapping in the 185th State District Court, while Lawrence is charged with capital murder in the 183rd State District Court.

The investigation is ongoing.
