Multi-Agency Effort Nabs Suspected Bank Jugger in Rosenberg

Authorities from the Rosenberg Police Department, in collaboration with the Sugar Land Police Department, Houston Police Department, and Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, conducted an operation earlier this week to apprehend a suspected bank jugger within Rosenberg city limits.

A bank jugger is an individual who surveils individuals leaving banks, with the intent to rob them at their next destination, either through vehicle burglary or robbery.

During the operation, officers observed Arnold Rollings, 30, of Humble, TX, following a vehicle from a bank. After the driver parked and left the area, Rollings forcibly entered the vehicle and stole a bank bag. Upon police intervention, Rollings attempted to flee the scene in his vehicle, leading to a pursuit into the city of Richmond. He ultimately abandoned his vehicle in the 2100 block of Preston Street and fled on foot toward the Brazos River.

Rollings was later apprehended hiding in a wooded area near the river without further incident. He has been charged with burglary of a motor vehicle (class A misdemeanor), unlawful use of a criminal instrument (state jail felony), and evading arrest in a motor vehicle (third-degree felony). The total bond for all three offenses is set at $50,000.
