Fatal Crash Under Investigation on Bellaire Boulevard; 22-year-old Woman Dead

Houston Police are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 8100 Bellaire Boulevard around 7:50 a.m. on Thursday, January 18.

The victim, a 22-year-old female, was driving a Toyota RAV4 southbound in the 6600 block of Waldo Street. She attempted to make a left turn from a stop sign onto Bellaire Boulevard when her vehicle was struck by a blue MINI Cooper traveling westbound on Bellaire Boulevard. The collision resulted in the tragic death of the female.

The identity of the deceased is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The 18-year-old male driver of the MINI was questioned by authorities and did not show signs of intoxication. Both he and a passenger were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced the female driver deceased. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
