Houston Police Await Autopsy Results in Death Investigation Following Fire on Southwest Freeway
In Houston, police are awaiting autopsy results following the discovery of a male’s body after a fire was extinguished at 9605 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) around 9 a.m. on Wednesday (January 17).
The identity and cause of death of the individual are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Houston Police Department (HPD) patrol officers responded to a burning building at the mentioned address and were informed about the body after Houston Fire Department emergency personnel put out the fire.
The investigation is ongoing, pending the determination of the male’s manner and cause of death.
