Brownsville Woman Arrested for Assaulting Victim Through Sunroof of Vehicle
On Saturday, January 13, 2024, at approximately 18:00hrs, Cameron County Sheriff Deputies responded to an assault incident in the 600 block of Sinaloa, Brownsville, Texas.
The victim, a 21-year-old female, reported that her uncle’s ex-girlfriend, identified as 29-year-old Crystal Trevino, confronted her while she was in her vehicle. Despite rolling up her vehicle’s windows, Ms. Trevino allegedly reached through the sunroof and assaulted the victim, causing pain and discomfort.
Upon arrival, Sheriff Deputies made contact with the victim and later with Ms. Crystal Trevino. The accused confessed to assaulting the victim, and several witnesses corroborated the events as reported by the victim.
In response to the incident, Sheriff Deputies arrested Ms. Crystal Trevino. She was subsequently transported to the Carrizales Rucker Detention Center, where she awaits arraignment. Ms. Crystal Trevino faces a charge of Assault TPC 22.01, classified as a Class A Misdemeanor.
