Houston Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Martin Luther King Boulevard
The Houston Police Department is conducting an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred at 7800 Martin Luther King Boulevard around 8:40 PM on Saturday, December 23, 2023.
The deceased individual has been identified as 64-year-old Benjamin Keys.
The incident involved a white Infiniti QX60 traveling northbound on MLK Blvd. At the intersection of Willow Glen Drive, a tan Chevrolet Venture, heading westbound, failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles.
Emergency services, specifically the Houston Fire Department paramedics, responded to the scene. They transported the driver of the Chevrolet, Mr. Keys, to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where doctors pronounced him deceased upon arrival.
The driver of the Infiniti, a 17-year-old male, remained at the crash site and was determined not to be impaired. Following questioning, he was released by authorities.
The investigation is still ongoing.
