Convicted Felon Arrested with Firearm in North Freeway Disturbance

On December 9, 2023, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office swiftly responded to a disturbance reported in the 16500 block of the North Freeway in Houston. Upon arrival, law enforcement identified the individual causing the disturbance as 36-year-old Marcus Swanson, a previously convicted felon.
A subsequent investigation uncovered that Marcus Swanson was in possession of a firearm. Consequently, he was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail.
Swanson is now facing charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, with his bond set at $10,000.00 by the 230th District Court.
