Shooting Incident in East Harris County Under Investigation as Road Rage

On Sunday, September 19, 2023, Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies and investigators were dispatched to Freeport/Muscatine streets, near East Freeway, in East Harris County in response to a shooting incident. The incident is believed to be connected to a possible road-rage incident.

Preliminary information suggests that the suspect(s), traveling in one vehicle, fired shots at another vehicle, resulting in the driver of the targeted vehicle being struck. The wounded driver, described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, has been transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

No suspect information at this time. Investigation is underway.
