HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash involving a vehicle operated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and a pickup truck they were pursuing Thursday morning, October 22, 2026, in northwest Harris County.

An ICE agent called 911 at approximately 6:41 a.m. to report the crash in the 12400 block of Old Foltin Road, according to the sheriff’s office.

ICE agents told investigators they were pursuing a pickup truck driven by a 52-year-old man when the driver failed to navigate an S-shaped curve in the roadway.

The pickup truck left the road and entered a ditch.

ICE agents then took the 52-year-old driver into custody.

While still at the crash scene, the man reported experiencing chest pains. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
