Tesla Crashes Through Front of Katy Home, Sending Two People to Hospitals

KATY, Texas — Two people were injured Friday after a Tesla crashed through the front of a home in a Katy neighborhood, according to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.

Deputies with Constable Terry Allbritton’s Office responded to the 21300 block of Rose Hollow Lane on June 19, 2026, to investigate the crash.

According to investigators, a Tesla left the roadway and crashed through the front of a residence.

The driver told deputies that the vehicle had been operating on its autopilot feature at the time of the collision. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances leading up to the crash.

The driver sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment.

A senior citizen who was inside the home when the vehicle crashed into the structure was also injured. Due to the severity of the injuries, the individual was transported by Life Flight helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Officials have not released the identities of either person involved or provided updates on their conditions.

The extent of the damage to the residence was not immediately disclosed.

Deputies continue to investigate the crash, including the circumstances surrounding the vehicle’s operation at the time of the incident.
