Softball Player Groped at Cypress Hotel, Deputies Arrest Man on Assault Charge

CYPRESS, Texas – Deputies with Harris County Constable Precinct 4 arrested a man Thursday after an alleged assault involving an 18-year-old woman at a hotel in Cypress.
According to investigators, deputies responded May 21 to the Tru by Hilton hotel in the 27000 block of the Northwest Freeway after receiving a report of an assault.
Authorities said the complainant, an 18-year-old female staying at the hotel with her softball team and parents, reported that an unknown man grabbed her buttocks and invited her into his hotel room.
Deputies quickly identified and located the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Dylan Richard.
Investigators said Richard is currently out on bond for a previous offense and is required to wear an ankle monitor. Authorities also said Richard declined to provide a statement regarding the incident.
Richard was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on an assault charge.
