West Texas Woman Arrested For Providing Alcohol to Teen Involved in Fatal Crash

DAWSON COUNTY, Texas — A 30-year-old woman has been arrested after investigators determined she allegedly provided alcohol to a minor involved in a fatal crash last month in Dawson County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The Texas Highway Patrol arrested 30-year-old Jessica Moncallo on May 11, 2026, in connection with a single-vehicle crash that killed a 16-year-old driver on April 15 along County Road 18 in West Texas (near Lamesa, TX).
Authorities said Moncallo was booked into the Dawson County Jail on a charge of purchase or furnishing alcohol to a minor.
According to DPS, toxicology results from the investigation showed the teenage driver had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.081 at the time of the crash.
Officials said the investigation remains active and additional details have not been released.
DPS also issued a reminder that providing alcohol to minors can result in criminal penalties, particularly in cases where alcohol is determined to have contributed to serious injury or death.
