HOUSTON, Texas — A man was arrested late Thursday night after deputies discovered drugs, stolen identifying information and outstanding warrants during a proactive patrol, according to the Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 8.

Sgt. Peters was patrolling around 10 p.m. April 30 in the 250 block of El Dorado Boulevard when he observed suspicious activity at a self-service car wash. Authorities said several individuals were seen removing parts from a vehicle.

During the investigation, the suspect was identified as Robert Solomonsz, born March 27, 1983. Deputies determined the license plates on the vehicle were not assigned to it.

Officials said narcotics were then observed in plain view inside the vehicle. A search led to the recovery of approximately 2.2 grams of Xanax, along with multiple forms of identification and a credit card belonging to other individuals.

Further investigation revealed Solomonsz had two outstanding warrants through the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for a probation violation and driving while intoxicated.

Authorities said the recovered identification and financial cards were unlawfully in his possession, and the victims indicated they plan to pursue charges.

Solomonsz was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center.

He faces charges including possession of a controlled substance, fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, and fraudulent use or possession of credit or debit card information, in addition to the outstanding warrants. Officials said bond has been denied at this time.
