Suspect Arrested Day After Deadly Houston Hit-and-Run on Kuykendahl Road

HOUSTON, Texas — A driver has been arrested in connection with a fatal auto-pedestrian crash in north Houston over the weekend, authorities said.

According to Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Office, deputies responded Saturday, April 25, 2026, to the 12700 block of Kuykendahl Road in the Greater Greenspoint area for a reported auto-pedestrian accident.

When deputies arrived, they found a pedestrian with serious injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital but later died. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.

Investigators said the driver fled the scene. Using surveillance video and witness descriptions, deputies identified the suspect as 31-year-old Jasmin Obregon.

Deputies located Obregon the following day and took her into custody without incident. She was booked into the Harris County Jail on Sunday, April 26th, on a charge of failure to stop and render aid.

According to jail records, her bond was set at $85,000 by the 488th District Court.

The investigation remains ongoing.
