Three Arrested After Pursuit of Stolen Car Through League City, Seabrook

LEAGUE CITY, Texas — Three suspects, including two juveniles, were arrested early Monday, April 6th, following a vehicle pursuit involving a stolen car that stretched across multiple cities, police said.
The incident began around midnight on April 6 when the League City Police Department received a Flock Safety alert for a stolen Hyundai Sonata near East League City Parkway and Isla Vista Drive. An officer located the vehicle traveling westbound and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop, initiating a pursuit.
Police said the vehicle traveled north onto State Highway 146, continuing through Kemah into Seabrook. The pursuit moved through several residential streets before the vehicle stopped in an alley near Habanero’s Taco Company on Hialeah Drive.
All three occupants exited the car and fled on foot. Officers noted the suspects were wearing gloves and face masks.
The suspects were quickly located attempting to enter a residence through a back patio door in the 2400 block of Miramar Court. Officers took all three into custody without further incident.
A 16-year-old driver from League City faces multiple charges, including evading arrest with a motor vehicle, evading arrest on foot, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
A second 16-year-old from Seabrook and 18-year-old Elijah Moton of Houston were both charged with misdemeanor evading arrest on foot. Moton also faces a charge of failure to identify as a fugitive and had an outstanding warrant out of Harris County for evading arrest. His bonds total $5,000.
Officers recovered a Taurus 9mm handgun from the juvenile driver’s waistband. The firearm was reported stolen in connection with a burglary of a motor vehicle in League City on April 1. The Hyundai Sonata was confirmed stolen out of Seabrook.
The Seabrook Police Department responded and took custody of the vehicle.
