HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A man has been arrested and charged with murder following a fatal shooting outside a convenience store Friday morning in north Harris County.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched around 10 a.m. on February 20, 2026, to the 12000 block of Bammel North Houston Road in response to an in-progress call.

When deputies arrived, they found 49-year-old Glenn Grey unresponsive in the parking lot of a convenience store with multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies immediately began life-saving measures until EMS personnel arrived. Grey was pronounced dead at the scene.

While still investigating, deputies learned that another male with gunshot wounds had arrived at Houston Northwest Hospital. Deputies responded to the hospital and identified the injured individual as Albert F. Williams, 34.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives interviewed Williams at the hospital. Authorities said Williams cooperated with investigators and admitted to shooting Grey following a verbal confrontation.

After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, prosecutors accepted a murder charge against Williams.

Members of the Sheriff’s Office Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) later arrested Williams without incident. He was booked into the Harris County Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
