Conroe Man Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on South Loop 336 East

CONROE, Texas – A 28-year-old Conroe man was killed Wednesday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on South Loop 336 East, according to the Conroe Police Department.

Officers were dispatched at approximately 6:48 a.m. on February 18, 2026, to the 1000 block of South Loop 336 East after receiving reports of a major crash involving multiple vehicles and a seriously injured driver.

Upon arrival, officers located the driver of a Mazda passenger car who was severely injured and unresponsive. Conroe Fire Department and EMS personnel began life-saving measures, but the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Roylin Cocon Morales, 28, a resident of Conroe.

Preliminary findings from the Conroe Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit indicate the Mazda was traveling eastbound on South Loop 336 East while a truck tractor towing a wide load, specifically a mobile home, was traveling westbound. As the Mazda passed the truck tractor, it struck the corner of the mobile home being transported.

After the initial impact, the Mazda continued eastbound and collided with two additional westbound vehicles before coming to rest against a guardrail. Authorities reported that no other individuals were injured in the crash.

Investigators found no signs of impairment involving any of the drivers. The crash remains under active investigation.

Next of kin were notified at the scene. The Conroe Police Department and Chief Jon Buckholtz extended their condolences to Morales’ family and those affected by the incident.
