Man Shot During Bar Altercation in East Aldine; Suspect Arrested

HOUSTON, TX — Detectives with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Offenders Unit are investigating a shooting that left one man in critical condition Saturday night.

On February 7, 2026, detectives responded to the 2200 block of Aldine Bender Road in north Harris County in reference to an aggravated assault.

Upon arrival, investigators learned that an altercation had taken place between two adult males inside a local bar. During the confrontation, one of the men was shot. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Responding patrol deputies were able to obtain a detailed description of the suspect and his vehicle. Deputies in the area quickly located the suspect as he was leaving the scene and detained him without incident.

The suspect was returned to the scene and interviewed by detectives. He has since been charged with Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury.

Investigators believe this was an isolated incident between the suspect and the victim and say there is no ongoing threat to the community.
