Houston Police Arrest Two After Major Drug Bust in North Houston, Seize Large Cache of Narcotics and Cash

Houston Police Department narcotics detectives arrested two men Wednesday following the execution of a search warrant at a north Houston residence tied to large-scale drug distribution.
On December 17, 2025, detectives with the HPD Narcotics Division, Squad 9, worked alongside the Operational Support Division, Special Response Team, and North Division as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. The joint operation led officers to a home in the 4200 block of Europa Street, which investigators determined was being used to sell a wide range of illegal drugs.
During the search, officers seized a significant quantity of narcotics, including cocaine, methamphetamine in both powder and pill form, marijuana, THC wax, prescription pills, and other controlled substances. In total, investigators recovered more than 900 grams of powder cocaine, over 1,800 grams of methamphetamine, hundreds of grams of Xanax, oxycodone, hydrocodone, Adderall, MDMA, synthetic marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, and more than 59,000 grams of promethazine. Officers also seized approximately 6.6 kilograms of marijuana, 5.1 kilograms of THC wax, a semi-automatic pistol, and $19,418 in U.S. currency.
Stephen Hood, 44, and Kethon Hood, 41, were taken into custody at the scene. Both men were charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. In addition, Kethon Hood faces an additional felony charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
