Spring Man Arrested for Threatening Female Harris County Deputy

On Wednesday, November 3, 2025, deputies with Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 5500 block of Dunleith Lane in Spring, Texas, regarding a suspicious male in the area.

Upon arrival, deputies located the male, who became belligerent and ignored all verbal commands. The suspect continued to act aggressively and threatened to kill a female deputy. A struggle ensued as several deputies attempted to handcuff him. Finally, Deputies were able to safely detain him. No officers were reported to be injured during the incident.

The suspect, 50-year-old Cheney LaMoyne, was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. He faces charges of Terroristic Threat of a Peace Officer, and his bond was set at $10,000 by the 337th District Court.
