Texas DPS Recovers 12 Victims, Makes 43 Arrests in Fort Bend County Human Trafficking Operation

Fort Bend County, Texas – Following a three-day proactive demand reduction and victim recovery operation, the Texas Department of Public Safety – Southeast Texas Region Criminal Investigations Division (CID), in collaboration with multiple local and state agencies, made 43 arrests and rescued 12 victims connected to human trafficking and prostitution.
The coordinated effort included assistance from the Texas Anti-Gang CID, Texas Highway Patrol, Katy Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri City Police Department, Sugar Land Police Department, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office, and the Houston Police Department.
Arrests included:
- 39 for solicitation of prostitution
- 1 for promotion of prostitution
- 2 for outstanding warrants
- 1 for driving while intoxicated (DWI)
In addition to these arrests, 12 victims were recovered and connected with victim advocacy and support services to assist in their recovery and ensure access to resources for safety and rehabilitation.
“This operation demonstrates the unwavering dedication of our law enforcement partners to both hold offenders accountable and protect vulnerable victims,” the agency said in a statement.
