Teen Shot Near Pep Mueller Park in Houston; Suspects Sought

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A 15-year-old boy was hospitalized after being shot near Pep Mueller Park on Friday evening, October 17, 2025, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the 14700 block of Henry Road around 7:39 p.m. after reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they learned the teen had been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.

Investigators say the victim was with friends near the park when a group of males in a vehicle approached them. After a brief argument, someone inside the vehicle fired several shots toward the group before speeding away. The victims ran to a nearby neighborhood and called 911.

Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Robbery/Assault Unit are working to identify the suspects involved.
