Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Identifies Suspect in Sports Bar Shooting; Two Dead, Four Injured

LIBERTY COUNTY, TX — The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect in a deadly shooting at Alas Locos Sports Bar that left two people dead and four others wounded in the early morning hours of September 7, 2025.

Deputies responded to the sports bar on County Road 5018, where they discovered six gunshot victims.

  • Alexis Jasso, 30, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
  • Fernando Navarrete, 43, was airlifted for treatment but later died from his injuries.
  • Four others—Sandra Patricia Valiz Adrian, 42; Aldegundo Alvarez Trujillo, 40; Jose Rafael Sanchez, 34; and Andres Gonzalez, 35—were treated and later released.

Following numerous public tips, investigators identified the suspect as Jose Osman Aguilar Cantillano, 32, a resident near the sports bar and the owner of a white construction-style van. A murder warrant has been issued for his arrest.

On September 8, investigators executed a search warrant at Cantillano’s residence. While he was not found, deputies arrested his wife, Alejandra Marie Valdez Montoya, 23, for Tampering with Evidence. She was booked into the Liberty County Jail without incident.

Cantillano remains at large and is believed to be traveling in a white full-size van. Authorities believe he may be heading toward New Orleans, Louisiana or Atlanta, Georgia.
