League City Teen Arrested for Possession of Child Porn

LEAGUE CITY, Texas—An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography following a multi-agency investigation that began with a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
In June, Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Detective A. Espinosa, a member of the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, initiated an investigation after receiving the cyber-tip.
On September 5, members of the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Houston Metro ICAC Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in League City. During the search, detectives seized cell phones and, upon further examination, found evidence of child pornography.
The suspect, identified as Raul Zamudio, 18, was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography younger than 10 years of age. His bond was set at $60,000.
The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the Houston Metro ICAC Task Force, which includes investigators from Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) and the League City, La Marque, Dickinson, La Porte, Pearland, and Hitchcock police departments.
