On August 29, 2025, the Clute Police Department Narcotics Investigations Division, in partnership with the Brazoria County Narcotics Task Force and the Texas Department of Public Safety Special Investigations Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Mifflin Street in Clute.

Inside the home, investigators recovered:

  • 16 firearms, including two confirmed stolen weapons
  • Multiple calibers of ammunition
  • Significant quantities of controlled substances, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, psilocybin mushrooms, THC concentrates, oxycodone, alprazolam, and phentermine
  • Marijuana and numerous prescription-only medications without valid prescriptions

Two suspects, a 31-year-old male and a 22-year-old female, were arrested on site. They now face more than 40 criminal charges, including:

  • Unlawful possession of firearms by a felon
  • Possession of stolen firearms
  • Felony narcotics offenses
  • Tampering with evidence

Both individuals were transported to the Brazoria County Jail and booked without incident.

Authorities estimate the seized narcotics carry a street value of approximately $6,450. More importantly, officials emphasized the public safety threat posed by the combination of illegal drugs and firearms.

The Brazoria County Narcotics Task Force expressed gratitude to its partner agencies, including the Texas Department of Public Safety Investigations, Brazoria County District Attorney’s Office, Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office, and Clute Police Department, for their coordinated efforts in the case.
