Couple Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide in West Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas—A couple was found dead in their home in an apparent murder-suicide after their 16-year-old daughter fled the house after hearing gunshots.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 31, Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office patrol units responded to a shooting in the 3200 block of Piney Forest. The 16-year-old daughter told deputies she had seen her parents fighting and heard gunshots as she ran from the home.

Deputies entered the residence and found 47-year-old Kristy Saucedo deceased from gunshot wounds and her husband, 48-year-old Gabriel Saucedo, deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No other individuals were in the home at the time of the incident.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide detectives determined the couple had ongoing marital problems but could not find any official police reports for disturbances or family violence. The specific events that led to the shooting are unclear.
