Man Arrested for Murder of Woman in Wild Indigo Street Early Morning Shooting

Houston police have arrested Ismael Holguin, 35, in connection with the fatal shooting of a 32-year-old woman at 4655 Wild Indigo Street around 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6.
Holguin, identified as the victim’s husband, faces charges of murder and evading arrest in the 248th State District Court. His booking photo has been released by authorities.
According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Elsbury and Detective D. Arnold, officers responded to a shooting report at the apartment complex and found the unresponsive female victim in the parking lot. She was transported to a hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics but was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation led officers to Holguin’s vehicle in the 15000 block of Tinker Street. When officers attempted a traffic stop, Holguin fled, prompting a pursuit. He was later apprehended, booked into the Harris County Jail, and charged.
The identity of the victim is pending notification of family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
